CMB/NWFB Dennis Condor
11-metre ( DM )
The China Motor Bus acquired near 100 Condor buses from Dennis UK in the late 80's. It was then introduced totally 28 non-air-conditioned Dennis Condor 11metres in 1990. These 28 Condor were then fleeted as DM1 - DM28. They were the last batch of non-air-conditioned buses manufactured by Dennis.
These Dennis Condor installed with the well-known technical component. That is the Gardner 6LXCT engine with Voith DIWA-851 transmission. The maximum power output can be reached to 210bhp. With fitted the Duple Metsec bodywork, the maximum passenger capacity is 142 with 110 seating and 32 standees.
After the franchised services of CMB took over to the New World First Bus in September 1998, those Dennis Condor 11metres non-air-conditioned fleets were all transferred to NWFB. One of them, the DM6, was being converted into open-top sight-seeing bus. It was then being put into the services of Route 15C for the services of Peak Team Terminus shuttle bus route.
