CTB Volvo B12 In order to enhance the services of the Cross-Border routes, Citybus had acquired totally 5 Volvo B12 in 1995. Volvo B12 is a new product in the early of 90's. It is powered by a Volvo TD123E turbocharged engine with cylinder capacity 12,000cc and transmitted with a ZF 5HP700 automatic gearbox. Citybus had chosen the Jonckheere Monaco coach body, which made in Belgium, to be fitted in those Volvo B12 chassis. Those buses were being delivered to Hong Kong in 1996. After passed the tests by the Hong Kong Transport Department, the Volvo B12 had painted with special livery outside their bodies and served on the cross-border route between Hong Kong and Guang Zhou. In the end of 2000, however, part of the Citybus's cross-border route, including the services between Hong Kong and Guang Zhou, have been cancelled. Those Volvo B12 were also de-registered in April 2001 and waiting for the new buyer.
