NWFB Neoplan Centroliner N4026/3 12metres
After the Kowloon Motor Bus had introduced the first batch of 20 Neoplan Centroliner N4026/3 double-deck buses to Hong Kong, in October 1999, the New World First Bus announced an investment of HK$82 million in the purchase of a new fleet of 30 Germany made Neoplan Centroliner air-conditioned double-deck buses for enhancing its services.
Before the acquisition of these 30 new buses, all the fleets of NWFB are all the products from UK. Introducing this model made the fleets in NWFB be more diversify. NWFB offered the fleet number of #6001 - #6030 to the new buses after the first Centroliner delivered in May 2000.
After several trial-run performed immediately after the delivery, the #6001 had got a license number of JP1200 in June 2000 and being put into services of Route 2X at the end of the month. The Centroliner installed with 90 Scandus seats where 59 of them fitted in the upper-deck saloon and 31 in the lower-deck saloon, including 36 standees, the total passenger capacity allowed can be upto 126.
Almost all of the Centroliner painted with the NWFB standard livery, but there are two painted with the special wavy livery. They are the #6018 (JU1220) and #6018 (JV9549). They are used in promotion events, such as the #6018 showed in the 58th IAA Nutzfahrzeuge in Frankfurt, Germany.
